- (General Dispatch) – Through a report it was revealed that some Google workers told the company that they felt they were victims of racism and sexism by co-workers.
- The incident was triggered when one of the employees of Mexican origin with U.S. nationality, was pointed out by one of his superiors who commented that his skin color was much darker than normal.
- The company’s human resources department immediately proceeded to suggest to the employee not to make an issue out of such a simple matter.
- As a result, in the days following the incident, the employee once again manifested discriminatory facts, for which one of the department’s managers asked the employee to take therapy to evaluate his mental health.
- According to the report, Google did not make any statements about the event.
- It should be noted that, according to Breitbart News, two former employees of the company who were expelled at the end of 2020, alleged that they were victims of mistreatment due to gender identity and racial discrimination when they were still part of the company.
- Currently, the human resources department continues to receive complaints of this nature without taking the appropriate measures to remedy the dilemma that the company is going through.
- Undoubtedly, events of this type cannot continue to happen because they violate the constitutional rights stipulated in the nation’s Magna Carta.
