Kim Jong-un Regime Refuses to Initiate Communication with Biden

  • By William Silgueiro
  • (General Dispatch) – Since President Biden took office, his administration officials have attempted to establish contact with Dictator Kim Jong-un who has ignored White House attempts to engage in communication.
  • Reuters quoted the officials as saying that attempts were made to activate diplomacy between the two countries, but these efforts have had no result, most North Korean media have been silent on the matter.
  • DPRK Today one media outlet spoke out before Biden became president accusing him as an enemy to the nation on the other hand KCNA media urged US citizens to perpetrate an attack on Biden.
  • Something totally different in the Trump administration who managed to establish talks with the regime, even concrete meeting personally twice with dictator Kim Jong-un, no significant agreements were reached but the North Korean government ceased nuclear weapons tests since 2017.
  • North Korea has been a major threat to the U.S. following its nuclear weapons practices, and its hostile messages about perpetrating some large-scale attack on countries it considers as enemies.
  • The Biden administration intended to establish contact as Secretary Antony Blinken plans a trip to Asia to bolster diplomacy with different countries including North Korea.
  • “The State Department has said the secretaries will discuss a wide range of regional and global issues during their visit to the two key U.S. allies in Asia, including how to deal with North Korea,” South Korean media outlet Yonhap said.
  • The Korean country has shown that it has no interest in holding a conversation with the Biden administration; so far Kim Jong-un is expected to issue some response through one of the communist media outlets.
