- (General Dispatch) – Joe Biden’s administration is considering submitting a $3 trillion bill aimed at improving U.S. infrastructure but much of the money will be earmarked for social programs.
- Biden’s proposed package will fight inequality, boost the economy, improve infrastructure and reduce carbon dioxide emissions, all of which will be done through a tax increase.
- Only a third of that project will be invested in infrastructure, according to also part of the project will be for wind energy, expansion of networks to rural areas, implementation of new 5G technology and to be able to generate more employment.
- Biden’s administration hopes that this project will promote a new initiative to preserve the environment, on the other hand to allocate part of the money to improve health centers that can provide services to children and the elderly.
- However, the Democrats are planning to split the bill in order to get Republican support, who thinks the large amount of money that the Biden administration has requested from Congress is a bad idea.
- However, this measure may be great for some sectors, but the long-term tax increase is not something that citizens would really like to see after so much of their money is wasted.
- Currently the border security crisis has not been able to lower immigration levels and it is money that comes out of taxpayers’ pockets, a sector that has been spending approximately $5 million a day.
- Such a project may ensure some welfare, but Biden’s agenda has not specified how the U.S. will compete with other countries, which have no intention of a peaceful transition to renewable energy.
