- (General Dispatch) – The French government has spoken out against new Islamic movements that have begun to use the term “Islamophobia” as a measure to protect extremist groups.
- The French Interministerial Committee for the Prevention of Crime and Radicalization is concerned about this new form of protest, as it implies that the French are against the religion of Islam.
- The French government allows different religions, it has nothing against Islam, but it will not allow extremist groups to carry out violent acts against the French nation.
- Islam has been a monotheistic religion professed by Muslims who point to God as “Allah” and are guided by the holy book of the Koran and currently there have been conflicts over acts committed.
- “The term ‘Islamophobia’ was imposed by Islamists with the aim of prohibiting any form of criticism of radical Islam, under the guise of a – fallacious – defense of the Muslim religion,” the inter-ministerial committee said.
- The committee pointed to the horrific murder of teacher Samuel Paty who was beheaded for drawing Charlie Hebdo cartoons depicting the Prophet Mohammed.
- Now Islamist groups want to cover up such crimes by trying to introduce the term “Islamophobia” into the law as a way of defending themselves, arguing that they are direct insults against their religion.
- “They will tell you that you can’t complain because you are ‘Islamophobic.’ The term is already creeping into the culture as if it were an accusation of racial hatred, for example, or bigotry, whereas it’s just the objection to the preachings of a very extreme and absolutist religion,” said the late Christopher Hitchens.
