276 Immigrants Caught Attempting to Cross Texas Border

  • (General Dispatch) – Two large groups of people totaling 276 immigrants were arrested in Rio Grande, Texas as they attempted to cross the border by security agents operating in the area.
  • The apprehension occurred after Border Patrol agents were alerted that a large mass of people were heading to Rio Grande to attempt entry.
  • After being apprehended, border agents were able to determine that the group was made up of 24 unaccompanied minors and 121 family members. While 131 people are migrants from various cities in Mexico and Central America.
  • Consequently, the 276 immigrants were transferred to the Border Patrol processing center to investigate their backgrounds and conduct the respective tests against covid-19.
  • According to information provided by one of the officials, the groups entered simultaneously about 30 miles apart. At great risk.
  • With this new entry, the number of groups in the country so far totals thirty-five.
  • The level of risk to the migrants according to various perspectives is not quantifiable; the need for individuals to escape the crisis facing their countries is notorious.
  • This is not the last of the groups crossing the border that easily find support from the Biden administration. The Border Patrol continues to wait for more people to enter the country.
