  • (General Dispatch) – This Friday, U.S. President Joe Biden received at the White House the Prime Minister of Japan, in a face-to-face meeting with the purpose of strengthening alliances with China and reaching agreements of global interest.
  • The meeting between Yoshihide Suga and Joe Biden aims to mitigate recent confrontations between the nations over a heated human rights dispute.
  • After a constant political, economic and technological growth, among many other areas carried out in the Asian country, the United States considers it important to reestablish communication and joint cooperation between both nations.
  • For Biden and Suga, “our approach to China and our shared coordination and cooperation on that front will be part of the discussion,” press secretary Jen Psaki said Thursday.
  • However, Suga said he was happy after his arrival in the U.S. to reach concrete and productive agreements following the pandemic that limited diplomatic relations around the globe.
  • Therefore, after America elected a new president, China expects international relations to be totally different from the previous political agenda, said Suga.
