CDC Determines Vaccinated Individuals Should Continue to Wear Face Masks in Certain Locations

  • By Steph. G. Halston.
  • (General Dispatch) – After a few weeks of waiting, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released updated guidance for those who have been vaccinated, specifying several recommendations.
  • One of the main recommendations implicit in the context states that as a precautionary measure U.S. citizens should continue to wear a face mask.
  • At the same time, the guide indicates that people should use face masks in specific places such as: auditoriums or physical structures with large numbers of people, public places where there are crowds of people and other spaces that represent a risk of contagion.
  • Subsequently, fully vaccinated persons are authorized to carry out part of the activities that are part of daily life, such as visits to relatives and other activities implicit in the context.
  • Consequently, public spaces are also part of the application of the guide, because immunized persons are encouraged to visit the places of their choice without using the face mask.
  • It should be noted that the CDC’s relaxation measures come at a time when statistics indicate that the U.S. population is beginning to refuse the vaccine.
  • However, covid-19 infection rates have decreased significantly in recent weeks, but this does not mean that the virus is absent.
  • For the time being, U.S. citizens will continue to enjoy certain freedoms as they attempt to return to normalcy after a devastating pandemic.
