China Threatens Australia with Severe Consequences if it Removes ‘Belt and Road’ Agreement

  • By John Deloria
  • (General Dispatch) – Australia has eliminated the “Belt and Road” agreement, a project that China intends to pursue with countries along a route that stretches from East Asia to Europe.
  • Apparently the decision was taken on Wednesday of this week, China spoke out against such a move by Canberra in an aggressive manner, warning that it will act with economic sanctions.
  • The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Marise Payne, announced that along with China’s treaty, she cancelled other agreements with Iran and Syria, as she realized that the projects were in violation of her foreign policy.
  • Although China is one of Australia’s largest trading partners, this was not enough to prevent the Australian government from acting against the accelerated expansionism of the Asian country in recent years.
  • One of the reasons why different countries have become reluctant to make any kind of deal with China is the failure to provide clear data about the coronavirus, which so far still remains a mystery, despite the presentation of a manipulated WHO report.
  • On the other hand, the Austrian government limited that the large international company Huawei could implement the new 5G technology, as different reports pointed out that the type of technological infrastructure can be used for the CCP to obtain confidential information from countries.
  • “Such decisions recklessly interfere with and destroy normal exchange and cooperation, and seriously damage China-Australia relations and mutual trust between the countries,” said Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin.
