- (General Dispatch) – In support of the Covid-19 vaccines, former President Donald Trump encouraged U.S. citizens to get immunized, claiming that although he believes no one should be forced, it is an excellent opportunity.
- Trump, via a phone call for the New York Post, noted that Americans owned their freedom and that “no one should be forced,” but that he invited the population to take advantage of these vaccines.
- “I strongly recommend it because it is a real lifesaver,” expressed Trump, pointing out that without the vaccine, the number of deaths would be as atrocious as when the Spanish flu of 1918 wiped out more than 100 million people.
- For the former U.S. president, this is an extraordinary achievement and one of the greatest or as he himself defined it: “a true miracle”, being indisputable that he supports and encourages its achievement.
- In January, before leaving the White House, Trump declared that he had received his first dose of the vaccine. And later, while in Florida, he received his second dose.
- First lady Melania also received her doses of Covid-19 vaccine. Both were pleasantly surprised, as the former president said, “not even a little pain in the arm.
- Optimistic and satisfied, Trump indicated that thanks to the rapid production and worldwide dispersal of the vaccine, a significant number of lives would be saved around the world.
