Studies Confirm That Birth Rates Have Declined in China Since 2020

  • By William Silgueiro
  • (General Dispatch) – The financial times media released a report that is done annually to release population figures; however its publication was delayed by orders of the CCP.
  • Investigations have revealed that in the last 5 years the birth rate has been decreasing despite the fact that the CCP had changed the legislation so that women could have 2 children.
  • However, small ethnic groups have been victims of systematic sterilization without their consent, even though they were not subject to the birth control measures imposed by the Chinese government.
  • The strict “one-child” policy, which had been in place since 1979, allowed the mass murder of underage girls because their parents preferred to have a male child.
  • Now, the Chinese government has raised concerns after the Chinese media Global Times reported that 32,000 births have decreased compared to other years, thus affecting the nation’s economic development.
  • “The latest Chinese census, which was completed in December but not yet made public, is expected to report the country’s total population at less than 1.4 billion, according to people familiar with the research,” reported the Financial Times.
  • Apart from the capital city releasing the negative numbers, media reported that birth numbers were similar in other cities in China; one expert said if the trend continues, India would take the lead in being the world’s most populous country.
  • The government has promoted certain programs to promote the birth rate, but women are reluctant to create a family, as the rising prices of goods and services, leading women to think about other issues, and leaving aside wanting to be mothers.
