China Claims U.S. Increased Military Surveillance in its Territory

  • By William Silgueiro
  • (General Dispatch) – According to the spokesman of China’s Ministry of Defense, U.S. military activity in the Asian country has increased due to the presence of U.S. ships and aircraft in its territory.
  • The Chinese government’s statement comes after videos and images recorded on the Navy destroyer USS Mustin showed U.S. military equipment during a training session.
  • Wu Qian assured that this could have caused an accident for both troops at the time when military practices were taking place.
  • The evidence was qualified by Wu Qian, as a threat to the peace and tranquility of both nations, by the presence of U.S. military aircraft and ships in Chinese territory.
  • It can be noted that after the arrival of US President Joe Biden to power, the presence of aircraft in Chinese territory has increased by 40%, while the presence of ships has increased by 20%.
  • It should be noted, that China is very rigorous and opposes the US military presence in the South China Sea.
  • Although the United States has not pronounced itself on the matter, it only executed military practices, never made known attacks perpetrated. However, China demands respect.
  • Finally, it can be emphasized that President Joe Biden is holding close talks with the Chinese government and will soon sign international agreements, so this does not represent any risk for the Asian country.
