Joe Biden Criticized by Congressional Republicans for Not Delivering on Unity Pledge

  • By Ely Márquez
  • (General Dispatch) – After President Joe Biden addressed Congress on his 100th day in office, Republican senators strongly criticized the president for not fulfilling his promise to “unify a divided nation”.
  • For his part, Republican Congressman Chuck Grassley pointed out that Joe Biden campaigned during 2020 in which he assured that he would unify a fragmented nation, but the Congress is divided in two halves.
  • So far the facts judge the reality of the country, because Joe Biden’s administration has done absolutely nothing to synchronize Congress to work around effective and shared policies.
  • Grassley also urged President Joe Biden to work together with the Republican Party at a time when the country needs it.
  • However, Republicans highlighted the fact that issues of great importance to the White House were absent from Biden’s speech, such as the border crisis and the outrageous tax increase to be implemented.
  • Consequently, Senator Grassley commented that there are a range of issues of concern on which they can sit down and come up with optimal solutions, such as reducing the prices of some overpriced drugs.
  • It is time for the White House to work to integrate all the cooperation mechanisms necessary to build a country full of opportunities for all, Grassley said.
  • Finally, the congressman argued that only 100 days into his term, there is still a lot of time to work and it is important that Biden begins to fulfill the promises of the presidential campaign and not to issue partisan executive orders.
