China Carries out Attacks Against Nike Sports Brand

  • (General Dispatch) –  The CCP has carried out attacks on the multinational company Nike through the media and networks, after the firm stopped buying cotton from China after learning that the material came from Xinjiang.
  • The media reported that in different sectors of China the population began to burn Nike products, acts that were visualized through the Chinese social network called “Weibo”.
  • Chinese actor Wang Yibo resigned from his contract with Nike when he learned of the company’s decision, and adopted this measure in protest and in support of the Chinese Communist Party.
  • International media stated that Xinjiang produces one of the best cottons in the world, but the labor force that produces them are the Uyghur ethnic group being enslaved by the Chinese authorities.
  • Forcing them to pick and process cotton under threat, the media claimed that 84% of the cotton produced in China comes from the Xinjiang region.
  • They created a campaign to prevent different multinational companies from buying cotton from China, as they would be favoring the genocide that the CCP has been committing against the Uyghur community.
  • Several investigations have shown that the CCP has created concentration camps in the region to indoctrinate the Uyghur community and that crimes against humanity have been committed.
  • The New York Times reported that the U.S. expects to apply a new law, which will block the supply of products to companies that require materials and are produced through forced labor.
