- (General Dispatch) – After Russia started the vaccination process, this Tuesday Russian President Vladimir Putin informed that he will receive the vaccine against the coronavirus.
- After much criticism received throughout this time for not being one of the pillars to prove that the vaccine developed in Russia was effective, the day has arrived.
- Some 4.3% of the nation’s 146 million inhabitants have received the vaccine, due to the various tests to which the vaccine has been subjected during all this time to prove its effectiveness.
- Likewise, the entire Moscow government cabinet will receive the immunization, to prevent contagion and give continuity to the work they perform in different functions.
- However, a considerable fraction of the population has been hesitant to receive the vaccine due to the various comments in the media regarding the effects caused after immunization.
- Despite the nation’s slow production process, the Sputnik V vaccine hopes to compete in the international market.
- “The geography of Russian Sputnik V use is actively growing. Even despite the deliberate discrediting of our vaccine, various hoaxes and sometimes nonsense, more states around the world are expressing interest in our vaccine,” Putin said.
- It is expected that in the next few weeks the vaccine against the Chinese coronavirus will finish the tests it is undergoing and will be fully distributed in the nation.
