- (General Dispatch) – The center of Stockholm was the scene of unlawful protests by people demanding that pandemic-related restrictions be lifted.
- Security officers dispersed protesters on Saturday, who reportedly caused a major disruption in the city without having applied for the required permit to hold their protest.
- According to one of the officers, the security agencies acted against the demonstrators when the number of people exceeded 500 members, a fact that means a focus of contagion of the coronavirus.
- Also, video evidence showed people demonstrating without the proper use of masks, violating a biosecurity measure for other people.
- At least six police officers were injured when some violence was exchanged during the protest. In the meantime, most of the protesters were dispersed peacefully.
- The protest was orchestrated by a group called Freedom Sweden, who believe that the restrictions imposed by the arrival of the pandemic curtail human freedom.
- Since the first Covid-19 infections were reported, the Swedish government has been one of the least rigid. However, in the face of the notable rise in the infection curve, it applied greater severity.
- In relation to the exposed problematic, the execution of facts of this nature represents a serious danger for which the security agents will be applying a greater control in the streets, to avoid another altercation like this one.
