Lebron shows up in big time and the Lakers beat the Thunder

  • (General Dispatch), Lebron had a stellar night with 25 points, seven assists and six rebounds to lead the Los Angeles Lakers to their 20th win in the third overtime of the game. 
  • James made the game-tying 3-pointer, and then on defense broke the Thunder’s last possession, leaving the game 114 – 113 in favor of his team. 
  • “We’ve got a deep team, a lot of weapons, a lot of ways we can hurt you down the stretch, They gave us all we could handle, especially in the first half of these games. But we kept grinding, stayed connected, believed in each other and grinded it out.” Said coach Lakers, Frank Voguel
  • For the Thunder, Al Horford had another brilliant night with 25 points, 8 assists and 8 rebounds. 
  • For the Lakers, Harrell added 20 points and Dennis Schröder another 19 points to keep the game close until the final overtime. 
  • Both teams suffered important losses such as Anthony Davis and Alex Caruso for the Lakers and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander for the Thunder. 
  • For his part, Lebron James accumulated his third consecutive game playing more than 40 minutes. To which coach Frank Voguel added “That’s why he’s probably going to be this year’s MVP”. 
  • The Lakers racked up their sixth consecutive win and moved into second place in the Western Conference.
