- Both teams suffered important losses such as Anthony Davis and Alex Caruso for the Lakers and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander for the Thunder.
- For his part, Lebron James accumulated his third consecutive game playing more than 40 minutes. To which coach Frank Voguel added “That’s why he’s probably going to be this year’s MVP”.
- The Lakers racked up their sixth consecutive win and moved into second place in the Western Conference.
