- (General Dispatch) – Society in the United Kingdom has some of the strongest isolation in the West worldwide, but it becomes objectionable because the mortality rate remains high despite the fact that people have fully complied with these standards.
- There is a world ranking for governments that have implemented strong confinement for their citizens, a study conducted by the Blavatnik School at Oxford University. It places Great Britain among the first with the highest score.
- That becomes objectionable because stay-at-home rules, the use of face masks, the closing of educational institutes have been enforced and have not been effective. Other nations in Europe such as Ireland have 85/100, Germany 83/100, Italy 82/100 and Spain 71/100.
- Blavatnik’s school manifests itself by saying that although Britain has closed schools it has lowered its score unlike other European countries that have tried not to close them, and this confinement is expected to be in place apparently until the end of March.
- Minister Boris Johnson has come up with a plan to try to see a glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel, after all this hard blockade that the citizens have suffered, he has referred with encouraging words, to move forward by starting to apply the first dose of the vaccine.
- In this sense, Great Britain has acted much more quickly than other European countries and has managed to apply the first dose of the vaccine to 27% of the population.
- Britain, despite having adhered to strong containment measures, has one of the highest per capita mortality rates in the world at 1,781 per million inhabitants.
- The sum of some countries may reach the current number of deaths caused by the virus in Great Britain, so there are contradictions and invites the population to think about how effective confinement is to stop the virus.
