- (General Dispatch) – After health authorities studied the admission of Johnson & Johnson’s COVID-19 vaccine to the country, it was finally approved.
- Health authorities expect the effect to work with only one vaccine, and not with two, as other brands have prepared.
- Canada has initially purchased 10 million doses from Johnson & Johnson, and hopes to be able to buy a further 28 million doses.
- With the distribution of the vaccine, the nation’s health specialists are looking forward to the final days of the pandemic. They have high expectations for the product’s effectiveness.
- In this regard, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration revealed that the vaccine offers at least 85% effectiveness in infected patients and in those in a serious state.
- Consequently, Johnson & Johnson is seeking WHO approval for the distribution of its vaccine in other European countries.
- Canada has had to face certain blockades orchestrated from the European Union in the importation of vaccines, a fact that has limited the authorities to protect the nation’s citizens against COVID-19.
- For this reason, the expectation in the confidence of the product on the part of the citizens is increasing, as they see in it a possible way out of the pandemic crisis.
