China Will Give Visa Priority to Coronavac Vaccine Recipients

  • By James Kravitz
  • (General Dispatch) –  The Global Times issued a statement that all those foreigners who have been immunized with the Chinese vaccine will be given priority to receive local visas.
  • Embassies have been informing foreigners who are interested in applying for the visa. The information came with priority to Japan, Israel, Thailand, Pakistan and the Federated States of Micronesia.
  • “Chinese embassies in these countries also noted in the release that COVID-19 [Chinese coronavirus] nucleic acid tests and IgM antibody serological tests taken within 48 hours are still required upon arrival, and travelers must follow local quarantine rules at their destinations in China,” the Global Times said.
  • According to the Global Times China is asking the World Health Organization to approve its “vaccine passport” system and have it chosen as the basis for worldwide application.
  • Another media outlet Channel News reported that the CCP did not give any clear information as to why they took this step. However, it is known that the Chinese vaccine has been a candidate but with a lower % than the others.
  • Perhaps it is the only way to apply the vaccine after many people have refused to receive the dose voluntarily.
  • On the other hand, people who have taken the dose have suffered from serious side effects, headache, dizziness, shortness of breath and stroke. Although the effects are not directly attributed to the vaccine. The government intends to force people to be immunized with CoronaVac.
