- (General Dispatch) – The French media AP reported that in northern France, the city of Amiens has witnessed an increase in cases of COVID 19 in hospital centers.
- Nurse Stephanie Sannier said that these cases could have been avoided if President Emmanuel Macron had implemented stricter measures from the beginning.
- Sannier said that the admission of patients to the ICU ward, increased drastically in the hospital of amiens, even other serious cases were stopped to attend patients suffering from COVID 19.
- The French president announced the closure of educational institutes, but has been reluctant to impose a total blockade, despite the fact that France is witnessing an uncontrollable increase of the coronavirus.
- The French government announced that this problem is due to the lack of planning by the European Commission to provide vaccines, causing a slow immunization process for the inhabitants.
- Several opposition leaders have criticized the president for not taking into account the warnings of the third wave coming from the EU.
- On the other hand, Omain Beal, a blood oxygen specialist at the Amiens-Picardie Hospital, said that he has witnessed the death of family members in different ICU wards, creating a complex psychological situation for health workers, given the number of deaths they suffer on a daily basis.
- Omain said that from now on France will be facing the worst of the battles against the virus, just because Macron did not want to act in time, regardless of the lives of the inhabitants of France.
