Coronavirus Bill to be Extended for 6 Months in UK

  • By Joergen Haisem
  • (General Dispatch) –  The London media AP reported that legislators are proposing to extend the “coronavirus law” for 6 months, being one of the strictest since it was proposed.
  • The coronavirus law has made the daily life of the British people excessively limited to do any kind of activity, including closures and blockades in all sectors of the economy.
  • On the other hand, it allowed police authorities to have the right to make arrests of citizens who could be positive for COVID 19, a measure that was strongly criticized.
  • Lawmakers expect this law to be implemented until September, with the condition that the restrictions will be gradually eased, and will not affect the nation as it has done so far.
  • Some lawmakers have disagreed with Boris Johnson, as they argue that the economic and human costs have been above the supposed success claimed by the minister.
  • Under the Coronavirus Act, countless unlawful arrests were made which at the time of the judge’s sentencing were impossible as they lacked grounds.
  • The coronavirus mortality rate has been 126000 thousand per COVID, being one of the highest, but the UK vaccination campaign has managed to immunize a large percentage of the population.
  • Although the countries of Europe are facing a new wave of coronavirus cases, Minister Boris Johnson will gradually open up the economic and social sectors from April 12 according to his schedule.
