Iran Threatens and Blames Israel for Alleged Sabotage of Nuclear Facility

  • By Ely Márquez
  • (General Dispatch) –    The Natanz subway nuclear facility witnessed a power outage on Sunday, and was labeled a “terrorist attack” by the Iranian government.
  • Iran announced that the attack was attributed to Israel’s Mossad spy agency, but Breitbart News reported that the outage occurred minutes later when uranium enrichment began at high speeds.
  • However, the Iranian government issued a statement to the international community and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to activate mechanisms to prevent terrorist attacks on nuclear power plants.
  • On the other hand they warned, if it is proven that Israel was involved in the attack, they will respond with a military strike, such suspicions have been since Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reported to do “everything in its power to prevent Iran’s nuclear program.”
  • “Iran has such military strength and experience in dynamic modern warfare that no enemy can dream of defeating it,” Major General Hossein Salami, commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, declared on Tuesday,” Breitbart News media outlet Breitbart News said.
  • The political conflict has escalated since Israel and the U.S. have issued several warnings to desist from uranium enrichment and have been trying to reach an agreement.
  • The administration led by former President Trump had withdrawn from the nuclear agreement, after countless attempts to get Iran to adapt to the agreements proposed by the organization.
  • For now it is expected that the Biden administration will achieve certain agreement, but Iran has committed to cooperate when the US releases the sanctions it has against it, in order to initiate a possible solution.
