Border Crisis Negatively Impacts Biden’s Bills

  • By William Silgueiro
  • (General Dispatch) –  The number of Americans who disapprove of the policies employed by Joe Biden on issues related to the border crisis, the detention of unaccompanied children in Texas and other related issues is growing steadily.
  • According to a poll conducted by The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research indicated that progress in the rejection of Biden’s policies is increasing significantly.
  • In this context, the poll revealed that the issue of immigrant children represents one of the top immigration policy priorities for Americans.
  • Fifty-nine percent of the citizens surveyed said that immigration policies should focus on children detained in Texas. Meanwhile, 65% of those polled say they should be reunited with their families.
  • In that sense, former President Donald Trump created an optimal border security system that provided great results and reduced the flow of immigrants considerably.
  • On the other hand, Biden based on the construction of “a humane and orderly system” has directed his policies to illegal immigrants allowing them free access to the country and sustaining an immigration and humanitarian crisis.
  • It is worth noting that the survey found that 24% of Americans consider the immigration policies regarding unaccompanied children to be satisfactory. On the other hand, 40% of the citizens assure that they are inefficient and inhumane.
  • Although Joe Biden assures that he is sending many families back to their country, the border crisis continues to grow, and the economic and social consequences are beginning to follow the decisions made.
