  • By Anton Grillo
  • (General Dispatch) –  According to information provided by a survey conducted by The Rand Corp. on Monday. It noted that Americans have decreased their confidence in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
  • Previously, only people of African descent held little sympathy for the agency, during this pandemic the demographics have evened out in consideration of the stance.
  • The survey was administered to 2000 U.S. citizens, 10% of whom indicated that reduced confidence in the CDC is evident.
  • “The Biden administration will have an uphill battle to rehabilitate trust in CDC at this critical point in the coronavirus pandemic,” said Michael Pollard, lead author of a study reporting the survey results.”
  • In this sense, it is considered that the change from the Trump administration to the Biden era are not the same, the trend points out that the protocol of action is totally different, as well as, the distribution of vaccines.
  • During the development of the survey, it was revealed that one in four parents do not vaccinate their children because they do not trust the policies used to manage the pandemic.
  • Racism has been pointed out as one of the main detractors of trust, by prioritizing certain sectors of the population that were privileged. Meanwhile, the other strata are still waiting.
  • It can be inferred that the decisions emanating from the White House have significantly affected the perspectives that citizens have had of the image projected by Biden.
