Border Crisis Not Mentioned in Biden’s Speech

  • By William Silgueiro
  • (General Dispatch) – During the speech made from the White House by the President of the United States Joe Biden, he mentioned that the American citizens should follow the recommendations made by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to mitigate the Chinese covid-19.
  • In reference to the context of the information provided by the President, no comments were made regarding the crisis being experienced at the border of the State of Texas, both due to the non-vaccination of border agents, as well as the constant arrival of immigrants.
  • Silence was the protagonist of the speech, on several occasions different media outlets have addressed the border situation without any response and this was no exception.
  • Even when validated reports have presented real information about the situation, such as NBC News, 110 people who crossed the border last month tested positive for covid-19, without the authorities being able to do anything.
  • At the same time, numerous people from Mexico and Central America continue to be encouraged to enter the country in search of better opportunities.
  • Apparently, a program called “Title 42” is being designed to give federal immigration officials the power to take forceful action against immigrants who attempt to cross the border.
  • Constant pressure from different agencies is pushing officials to implement Title 42, to stop this surge of immigrants into the nation.
  • Finally, the same Republican Party has asked the White House to take the appropriate measures for the border crossing and the issue related to the coronavirus, which is seriously affecting the city of Texas.
