NY hides COVID-19 Nursing Home Deaths to escape Federal Investigation

- New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s (D-NY) aide confessed that the number of deaths related to COVID-19 in NY’s nursing homes were manipulated as the Cuomo government feared federal investigation.
- Former President Donald Trump highlighted in the past that the coronavirus-related deaths in New York are subject for inspection.
- Afraid of political scrutiny, Cuomo’s government hid the total number of deaths, controlled the statistics and suppressed the information.
- New York’s secretary to the governor Melissa DeRosa asked forgiveness from Democrat state legislators for political damage caused by the Cuomo government in concealing the information on nursing home COVID-19 deaths.
- Moreover, the New York Attorney General’s Office revealed that the undercounting of COVID-19 deaths of nursing home residents was as much as 50%.
- The said office added that the residents, who were transferred to hospitals, remain uncounted.
- The true death toll of New York nursing home residents is around 13,000 people conflicting the state’s 8,677 figure.
- Meanwhile, New York’s citizens called for justice when Cuomo called his handling of the coronavirus “beautiful” while there were thousands of seniors, who died and were not counted.
- In addition, citizens emphasized Cuomo’s reckless policy in New York nursing homes, where patients were neglected, abused, and were not saved from preventable death.
- “Cuomo must answer the patient’s sufferings from preventable as well as horrible death related to COVID-19,” citizens asserted.
