- The 20-year-old made the complaint in 2018. After investigations, the prosecutor’s office released the actor from the case for lack of evidence in 2019.
- The girl claims she was raped by the actor twice, once on August 7 and again on August 13, 2018 in the southern French city of Aix-en-Provence.
- The Golden Globe winner is one of the most famous and controversial actors in the country so these accusations have caused a great stir in his country. Depardieu’s lawyer has not expressed himself openly about the case, but he assures that his client denies any rape, act of violence or any crime against him.
- The actor has participated in major Hollywood productions such as “Green Card” where he has made one of his most appreciated and award-winning participations.
- The case will be ongoing until it is resolved, but it appears that this time the French authorities have more solid facts linking the actor to the events he is accused of.
