Americans Support Restrictions on People Not Vaccinated Against Covid-19

  • (General Dispatch) – According to a Reuter’s poll, the majority of Americans support regulations imposed on people who have not received the covid-19 vaccine.
  • The survey was conducted during the first days of March with a total of 1002 respondents, 72% of who support the existence of controls for people who may be even more exposed to infection because they have not received the vaccine.
  • The survey showed that a large number of people who already perform certain activities in public places such as gyms, airports, and schools. They request that people be vaccinated in 63% of them.
  • These statements revolve around the prevention against the coronavirus that is prescribed in advance, requesting the vaccine to be able to enter public places.  
  • The margin of error of the survey is in the range of 4%, which means that citizens feel much safer if they receive the vaccine.
  • With the constant increase in the number of covid-19 variants, citizens are more concerned about contagion. Therefore, they consider these requirements as elementary for the healthy coexistence of citizens.
  • Meanwhile, President Joe Biden said that the adult population is the one who will make the decision to be vaccinated, so far there is no requirement.
  • Finally, the distribution of vaccines is a mechanism that is still being developed among the U.S. population; experts say that these measures should be considered by lawmakers to ensure a return to normality.
