- (General Dispatch) – A group of 26 scientists have been strongly criticized by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs for publishing a letter rebuking the WHO and the Communist Party for obstructing a transparent scientific investigation of the coronavirus in Wuhan.
- The content of the letter calls for the Chinese government to grant full freedom for the WHO-appointed team of scientists to conduct extensive studies in the city of Wuhan that will uncover interesting data to determine the cause of the virus.
- Chinese officials claimed to have destroyed concrete evidence during the first outbreak, forcing them to disinfect the market and surrounding areas. That decision has greatly affected the investigation.
- Undermining the scientific reports, many people have speculated about what caused the virus, generating a variety of opinion matrices that politicize the investigation.
- The concern on the part of the team of scientists is that the group appointed by the WHO could not work efficiently, because it is always constrained by the Chinese regime, and this seems that this will continue to happen.
- It is desirable that a commission be appointed as soon as possible that can effectively carry out a transparent work and force the Chinese regime to provide the relevant collaboration.
