- (General Dispatch) – An Afghan man assaulted two female police officers who asked the man to comply with biosecurity measures and to put on his mask, the man felt offended and acted violently towards the women.
- The female police officers were carrying out a routine patrol when they realized that the man did not have his mask on, and asked him to put it on.
- After 20 minutes they passed by the same place again and the man still had not complied with the rule, they approached him and the man made hand gestures, the officers proceeded to issue a fine.
- The man refused to cooperate, did not give any identification, and there was a struggle when the officers decided to handcuff him to take him to the police station.
- The officers sustained severe physical injuries and were hospitalized for a short time and released him for a few days. The man punched and kicked several times, affecting the officers’ face area.
- In view of his incoherent attitude at the police station he was transferred to a psychiatric unit after giving incoherent confessions while in the custody of the authorities.
- According to the French Interior Ministry attacks on French police officers have increased considerably in contrast to past years, with Paris being where officers are constantly assaulted, reporting around 85 incidents per day.
