  • By William Silgueiro
  • (General Dispatch) – Regarding the information presented by WHO agents, the airports of the different nations should not request the so-called vaccine passport. In relation to the global pandemic covid-19.
  • However, he stressed that not all countries have guaranteed the distribution of the vaccine among its members, and this is a major constraint for passengers.
  • Legislation of this nature may cause many people to stop performing their personal and work functions because they do not have the required vaccination, which, in addition, is not available to many people and many others cannot be provided for health reasons.
  • Likewise, the WHO advises the different countries not to establish restrictions through this request, since the current pandemic still limits the transit, and such a procedure would place greater obstacles.
  • At least 2,000 people in the UK have signed a petition to the government not to consider using this vaccine passport. But the decision will be left to the debate to be held later by parliamentarians.
  • Despite the controversy generated, some nations already require the vaccination certificate from travelers.
  • The United Kingdom specifies that some areas of the nation’s system should require the certificate, because it represents a risk in view of the covid-19 that is still present.
  • It is expected that the recommendations issued by the WHO will be followed by the different governments to facilitate the return to normality in the coming months.
