The CCP Must Give Permission to the UN to Investigate the Uyghur Ethnic Issue.

  • By Anton Grillo
  • (General Dispatch) The UN issued a statement in which it expects the CCP to give its approval, so that the organization can carry out the investigation and thus verify the allegations made by the Uyghur ethnic group.
  • Different media have reported that the CCP has committed crimes against humanity against the Uyghur ethnic group, through the creation of concentration camps where Uyghurs are held.
  • Xinjiang province has been one of the relevant issues for the international community since the Uyghur community has made countless efforts to publicize evidence of the violent acts being committed by the CCP.
  • The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Michelle Bachelet, said they have evidence of the violence, yet in order to go further in the investigation they hope the Chinese government will cooperate.
  • The UN is considering sending a commissioner to Xinjiang, but is trying to reach an agreement as the CCP said that if such a decision is approved, it hopes that the visit will not be used for political purposes to affect the nation.
  • “The purpose of this visit should be to promote interaction and cooperation, and not to carry out the so-called investigation on the presumption of guilt,” said Chinese Foreign Ministry representative Zhao Lijian.
  • Different nations have carried out direct sanctions on high-level CCP public officials by freezing accounts and properties, including denying entry to the sanctioned countries.
  • The Beijing government has denied all accusations against it, claiming that the Uyghur ethnic group lives in total peace, and that the concentration camps are for extremist groups.
