Immigrant Apprehensions at the Texas Border Increase 72%

  • (General Dispatch) – During the month of March, the Border Patrol reported that the number of immigrants entering the country closed by 72%.
  • According to information provided by Border Patrol officials, the work being done on the South Texas border encompasses several functions, including controlling the entry of immigrants, protecting refugee children and watching out for organized crime groups.
  • Statistics project according to the Southwest Land Border Encounters report released Thursday by U.S. Customs and Border Protection show that a total of 210,000 migrants entered in February and March.
  • In retrospect, March 2020 garnered 30,389 migrants apprehended, while by the same date in 2021 168,195 people have entered, representing a 450% increase.
  • Consequently, Rio Grande south of Texas totals 159,470 apprehensions so far this year, statistically projecting a 243% progress.
  • In this context, the exponential growth from one year to the next is evident.
  • As can be seen, previous policies were ruthless, while current ordinances are very flexible. Border agents are still waiting for Harris’ visit to resolve the conflict.
  • The lacks of control and executive orders regarding the border crisis have not been successful; on the contrary, illegal aliens are on the rise again under the current administration.
