- (General Dispatch) – Media reported that at least 40 MPs from the Labour and left-wing parties will vote against Minister Boris Johnson’s “vaccine passport” measures.
- The Labour party intends to generate different ideas to those already mentioned by Minister Boris’ agenda, according to a leaked party report. On the other hand, the document suggests reviving the economy with measures totally different from those already imposed.
- A high-level Labor said that the vaccine passport has a background for what it is actually going to be used for, such information can be used for other purposes including tracking the movement of each citizen violating their privacy and freedom.
- They also claim that the “vaccine passport” project could become an unnecessary expense, money that could be used for other types of projects to boost the economy after it suffered a contraction due to the restrictions caused by the coronavirus.
- The leader of the Labour Party, Sir Keir Starmer, had issued an opinion about the vaccine passport, said it goes against the culture of the British, although he has not revealed whether he supports or goes against the Conservative party.
- Although the Labour party wants to stop the development of the certificate, they are likely to lose in parliament as the left-wing separatist Scottish National Party (SNP) announced its full support for the Conservatives.
- “Obviously, we are keen to take steps to return to normality, but in an inclusive way. We would constructively consider any proposals that would help us get there, including checks on Covid’s status” said SNP leader Ian Blackford.
- The concern that has been raised is that the British government reported that vaccination passports may become a feature in our lives, being required post-pandemic.
