Democrats Strongly Support Racial Discrimination Against Asians in Higher Education

  • By Wayne Rodrigo
  • (General Dispatch) – By a vote of 49-48, Senate Democrats defeated an amendment to ban Asian racial discrimination in higher education.
  • The amendment proposed by Senators Ted Cruz and John Kennedy did not meet the 60 votes needed to pass.
  • In essence, the legislation provides that no college or university can receive federal funding if it is proven that the school practices any discriminatory manifestation against Asian Americans.
  • According to Kennedy, the blocking of the Democratic agenda is truly cynical in not allowing American citizens with Asian roots to be respected and occupy the place they deserve in society.
  • Despite President Joe Biden’s constant calls for an end to systemic racism, Democrats strive to do the exact opposite.
  • The decision was labeled by many as “hypocritical” – on the one hand they push for non-discrimination, but when they have the power to do something they simply don’t use it.
  • Meanwhile, Asian American citizens will continue to be treated at the margins of constitutional rights thanks to the support of the Democrats.
  • In conclusion, the inconsistency in the policies truly needed to nurture higher education in the country will be pushed aside, so that Democrats can focus on their partisan interests.
