  • (General Dispatch) – For strict emergencies China has approved a new vaccine against the coronavirus that will be part of the compendium of vaccines aimed at eradicating the virus.
  • The vaccine was developed by the Center for Disease Control, and had the consent of all the nation’s regulatory agencies.
  • This would be the fifth vaccine created by the country where the coronavirus originated last year, and all of them were developed by Chinese companies. In other words, the country is betting on national production.
  • The vaccine began to be supplied in the first days of March, and has three doses, which must be applied with a month’s delay between each dose.
  • In this respect, the media assure that there is no information about the new vaccine, and it is expected that the competent agencies will announce some indications.
  • Apparently, the vaccine would be composed of a high protein index, which has the function of covering the surface of the coronavirus.
  • Previously, the first four vaccines were aimed at the adult population over 18 years of age; however, this fifth vaccine does not seem to have such restrictions.
  • In the meantime, China expects to distribute the vaccine to its entire population in order to continue to mitigate the effects of covid-19.
