  • By William Silgueiro
  • (General Dispatch) – The European Union initiated litigation against the United Kingdom in consideration of the violation of the Brexit separation agreement, which transgresses international law.
  • The decision taken by the United Kingdom and the European Union is undoubtedly a dilemma that is becoming more and more acute.
  • The argument used by the European Union is directed around the non-respect of the conditions stipulated in the separation agreement. Opposing the extension of the period once again.
  • One of the disputes originates in the territory of Ireland, where both parties share commercial interests, as well as border transit.
  • Ongoing disputes have been waged by the members, including the demand for vaccines against covid-19. After its separation, the UK had to comply with the agreement and so far the violation persists.
  • For its part, the United Kingdom considers that treaties of this type have a period of duration and follow a process, and that as time goes by, each of the guidelines will be complied with.
  • However, the European Union has declared some warnings against Ireland so that the treaties will be fulfilled. So much so, that it threatened them not to ship covid-19 vaccines.
  • Ultimately, the EU sent a letter of notification to London calling for the relevant measures set out in the agreement to be implemented.
