Muslim Man who Stabbed Gay Couple Says he Does not Regret the Act
- By Joergen Haisem
- (General Dispatch) – German media reported that in the trial of a Syrian Muslim who stabbed a gay couple he showed no remorse after one of them lost his life.
- A psychologist at the Higher Regional Court in Dresden said that Abdullah Syrian-Muslim carried out the attack because same-sex partnerships are a clear violation of what is predicted in the Koran.
- The Syrian man told the psychologist that he saw it necessary to take the lives of those who do not take religion into account, such a statement he made while serving a sentence in 2018 after getting him instructions on how to make a bomb vest.
- The psychologist said that Abdullah at the time of the interview, the man responded without any feelings, downplayed the crimes he had committed.
- However, Abdullah was released in September 2020; 6 months after the psychologist had warned the authorities that Abdullah was a danger to society.
- 5 days after his release, the Syrian man carried out the attack on a gay couple, identified as Thomas L and Oliver L, near the “Frauenkirche Dresden” church.
- After having carried out the attack, he tried to flee from the authorities, remained on the run for two weeks, but was finally arrested; however Abdullah said that the plan did not go as he had hoped, as he wanted to murder the two.
- The psychologist told Judge Hans Schlueter-Staats that perhaps one of the possible reasons, which led the Muslim to carry out the attack, was that he had heard about a possible deportation from Germany, so he had no future prospects.
