- (General Dispatch) – Brexit leader Nigel Farage has complained about Marxist groups who have been taking advantage of the Sarah Everard death case to stage riots in the capital and damage statues of historical figures.
- A large group of people have gathered after three consecutive days to hold the peaceful vigil in support of London marketing executive Sarah Everard, who was allegedly kidnapped and killed by a policeman.
- According to media reports the woman’s body was found in a wooded area in Ashford. On the other hand, the vigil was limited after police forces tried to disperse the people who were holding it.
- After such action, people became upset and started protests and scuffles with the authorities, the sun reported that the protesters graffitied certain monuments.
- Victoria Embankment was marked with the acronym “ACAB” referring to “all cops are bastards” on the monument’s plaques. Another historical figure affected was Winston Churchill.
- Defacing and naming him as a racist, such actions have been carried out elsewhere in Britain by left-wing extremist groups such as Black Lives Matter (BLM) and by Extinction Rebellion activists in 2020.
- Nigel Farage said “More desecration of war memorials and Churchill’s statue in London overnight. The Marxists among us are now playing the card against the police after hijacking the murder of Sarah Everard” taking advantage of this case to carry out criminal acts at protests.
- Media outlets have said that Sarah’s case has been politicized, fomenting hatred of police forces.
