Google Doubles its Earnings Through Advertising in the Pandemic

  • (General Dispatch) –   Reports have revealed that Google’s parent company Alphabet has doubled its revenues after a number of companies have invested in advertising for the duration of the pandemic.
  • The Times reported that companies have increased their investment in digital marketing in order to reach those users who spend their time working from home.
  • Alphabet has come to amaze Wall Street pundits, saying the company had a 34% increase in revenue, boosting its net income by $17.93 billion.
  • Alphabet’s shares are forecast to surpass their current value of $1.5 trillion dollars, being one of the companies that has more profits through digital advertising, generating record amounts.
  • The company apart from being dedicated to advertising has diversified its business activity in other sectors, such as the creation of intelligent devices, apart from doing business with autonomous automobiles.
  • Studies have revealed that through search engines like Alphabet’s Google it has generated 30 percent to $31.88 billion, and through the medium of YouTube 49 percent to $6.01 billion.
  • Apart from Alphabet other technology giants have had great profits, as in the case of Microsoft through the sale of Xbox video game consoles, and the great demand to make use of cloud computing service Azure, the company earned a profit of $41.7 billion.
