- (General Dispatch) – The White House is reinstating taxpayer-funded federal grants aimed at sanctuary jurisdictions that provide protection to illegal aliens with criminal and criminal records by scrapping Trump-era policies.
- First, a rule was put in place during 2017 that caused sanctuary jurisdictions to be ineligible for funding under a program called the Justice Department’s Byrne JAG.
- That program generated money earmarked for federal grants to local law enforcement agencies, but denied funding to sanctuary jurisdictions if they continued to protect migrants with criminal and criminal records.
- Of course, former President Trump’s initiative ended up in federal court, which days later, ended up ruling in favor of the then leader of the nation Donald Trump’s policy.
- However, the current administration of President Joe Biden seeks to repeal the policy and grant funding to sanctuary jurisdictions to continue sheltering criminals.
- Consequently, these decisions continue to fuel the immigration crisis that originated three months ago, for which the current president of the United States is fully responsible.
- Meanwhile, the decisions issued by the White House will again grant funding to sanctuary jurisdictions to house hundreds of anti-social border crossers.
- Finally, this is another of the effective and efficient decisions implemented by the Biden administration that continues to generate more uncertainty and chaos in the United States.
