- (General Dispatch) – Congressman Tim Scott assures that the “outrage” over the new electoral integrity regulations applied in Georgia “is not about civil rights or our racial past; it is about manipulating elections in the future”.
- After the speech to Congress and a large television audience ended, Senator Scott spoke out, saying that Republicans support a streamlined election process, in which cheating will be more difficult.
- According to Scott, the vast majority of Americans support early voting, as well as voter ID that includes African Americans and Hispanics.
- However, common sense must prevail over partisan interests, because early voting, mail-in ballots did not mean efficient and effective progress in the 2020 elections that disproves that theory.
- In that sense, the election law currently applied in Georgia is “current” but U.S. citizens vociferate a law they don’t even know well, Scott said.
- Consequently, manipulation of future elections will be much easier if this mechanism continues to flourish, because race is not the only way to solve problems.
- The controversy between opponents and activists continues to be a trending topic, but Georgia will work under this mechanism because it is already a current legislation, however, work is being done so that other states do not apply this regulation.
- Although Scott did not rate Biden’s speech as one of the boldest in recent times, he expects the unification criteria to be on the talking points of Congress.
