  • By John Deloria
  • (General Dispatch) – U.S. Secretary Antony Blinken said that a meeting will be held in Alaska staffed by National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan and senior CCP officials.
  • The meeting will be attended by politician and diplomat Yang Jiechi and Foreign Minister Wang Yi. In order to discuss high-level political issues in order to reach negotiations following their current economic and political tension.
  • “This is an important opportunity for us to lay out and in very frank terms the many concerns we have with Beijing’s actions and behavior that are challenging the security, prosperity and values of the United States and our partners and allies” Blinken said.
  • One of the issues to be discussed at the meeting is Beijing’s behavior against the Uighur ethnic minority by committing genocide.
  • Blinken said the U.S. will seek negotiations to cooperate in a balanced way with the Asian giant where both U.S. and Chinese companies and workers can benefit.
  • Such negotiations will work as long as the CCP demonstrates with facts that it can do better on those issues that are sensitive.
  • Even though the former Trump administration escalated trade tensions with increased tariffs all the way to closing consulates, China-US relations were at all-time lows.
  • The Trump administration was tough in terms of its decisions with everything involving the Asian Country, it is expected that Biden will follow these decisions and not adopt some humanistic stance losing the approach that former President Trump wanted.
