At Least 17 Million U.S. Citizens Are Unemployed

  • By Ely Márquez
  • (General Dispatch) – At least 17 million U.S. citizens remain without job opportunities in the U.S. economy because the labor market priority is guaranteed to foreigners, thanks to Biden’s policies.
  • According to data revealed by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), ten million Americans are unemployed, while 6.9 million are out of the labor force, and 6.1 million people remain underemployed.
  • In contrast, 9.9% are black Americans, 8.5% are Hispanic, and 5.6% are white Americans.
  • As the economy develops with the opening of new businesses after the pandemic, improvements in the federal unemployment insurance system could lead to a temporary labor shortage.
  • Given the current unemployment levels, President Joe Biden’s administration is seeking to increase immigration levels.
  • The permission granted by the government for immigrants to have an employment opportunity in both the public and private business sectors puts great pressure on wages.
  • According to economist Christoph Albert, “Since immigrants accept lower wages, they are preferentially chosen by companies and therefore have higher job search rates than natives.”
  • According to a recent survey, Americans categorically reject the policies implemented, as the consequences on the labor force begin to become more acute.
