- As the economy develops with the opening of new businesses after the pandemic, improvements in the federal unemployment insurance system could lead to a temporary labor shortage.
- Given the current unemployment levels, President Joe Biden’s administration is seeking to increase immigration levels.
- The permission granted by the government for immigrants to have an employment opportunity in both the public and private business sectors puts great pressure on wages.
- According to economist Christoph Albert, “Since immigrants accept lower wages, they are preferentially chosen by companies and therefore have higher job search rates than natives.”
- According to a recent survey, Americans categorically reject the policies implemented, as the consequences on the labor force begin to become more acute.
