- (General Dispatch) – The policies imposed by the Biden administration to fight climate change threaten several multi-billion dollar projects, affecting the energy independence that the United States has achieved so far.
- President Biden and the Democrats see the deterioration being caused by carbon dioxide emissions generated by fossil fuel consumption, but they are setting aside projects that could affect the energy independence forged over the years.
- Analyst Stephen Moore commented, “In Donald Trump’s last month in office, do you know how much oil we imported from Saudi Arabia? Zero. It was the first time that’s happened in 50 years and it’s because of Trump. It’s amazing, isn’t it? It’s an amazing accomplishment. Folks, we’ve waited 50 years to become energy independent. We finally became independent,”
- Moore shared, “Trump was telling me, ‘I don’t want to be able to be energy independent. I want to dominate energy, and we can dominate energy. We have more coal and more gas than any other country in the world.”
- The main question of analysts and experts is that if the country has sufficient resources to supply domestic demand, why should production be neglected?
- Unlike the current administration, the Trump era focused on producing as much energy as possible so as not to depend on other countries such as Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia, which by means of embargoes on its exports could seriously affect the national economy with rising prices.
- It seems that the Biden administration is squandering natural resources, so great powers such as Russia and China are making progress in this area by carrying out large-scale projects such as taking gas and oil to Siberia or sending oil pipelines to China.
- Analysts and experts assure that coal continues to be the best energy ally of the United States and should not be left aside, intentions that seem to come from the current administration leaving aside all the necessary advances.
