- (General Dispatch) – During the presidential campaign, Joe Biden harshly criticized the administration for locking up children who tried to cross the border, and months later, when he took office, President Biden applied the same method, even in violation of federal law.
- National Border Patrol Council President Brandon Judd told that on Monday there were more than 800 foreign children locked up, of which at least 250 spent more than the 72 hours allowed by federal law.
- “Today, Jen Psaski said the Administration could not hold the children in other locations due to the Covid protocols including social distancing, but what she didn’t tell the media was that the children in custody were being held in conditions that have nearly no way to social distance.” Judd said

- The Trump administration was harshly criticized by the Democratic sector when they applied these measures, now it seems that the Democratic party is more sympathetic to the situation and understands it necessary to the massive migration of minors to the country.
- According to reports from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials. In January 2021, Border Patrol agents apprehended 5,871 unaccompanied minors. This is up from 4,995 in December 2020 and 3,076 in January 2020.
