Dr. Anthony Fauci: I Don’t Think We Will be Back to Normal by March of Next Year

• (General Dispatch) – Dr. Anthony Fauci, one of the qualified voices during the U.S. coronavirus pandemic, said he does not believe that a year after the start of the pandemic it is close to being over. 

• “I don’t think we’re going to be completely normal a year from now, but I hope we’re well on the way to normality so that we can ultimately get the world protected at the same time as we get economic recovery so that all the unintended consequences of shutting down begin to normalize,” Fauci said. 

• The idea came after President Biden in an appearance said he hoped that by March of next year life would be back to normal in most countries around the world. 

• Fauci said that mutations of the virus will continue for a certain period of time, so he believes that there will continue to be infectious outbreaks in different parts of the world for a long period of time. 

• He also took the opportunity to talk about the states that are opening early, which will probably mean that in the near future they will have to readjust their measures. 

• Recently in the U.S., there has been a massive opening of most of the states that are eliminating the mandatory use of face masks, which is considered an irresponsible measure at this point. 

• Dr. Fauci called for calm and restraint as the virus is still with us and to underestimate at this point would be totally irresponsible. 

• The United States continues to be the country that has given the most vaccinations against covid to the population, however, due to the territorial extension of the country, a large part of the population has still not received the first dose.
