- (General Dispatch) – Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp, assured that he would absolutely support former President Donald Trump if he were to be chosen as the Republican nominee for the 2024 election.
- “Absolutely. I’m going to support the nominee, as I said again. I worked very hard for the president. I think his ideas will be a part of our party for a long time in the future. Republicans need to have a big tent.” Kemp said
- “There’s a lot of great ideas out there. We’re not always going to get along, but I think the president deserves a lot of credit, and he’s not going away.” Kemp Finished
- The governor made an appearance Wednesday on Fox News Channel, and was asked by interviewer Neil Cavuto what his position would be if the former president were the Republican nominee for the upcoming elections.
- The relationship between the governor and former President Trump is not the best due to the fact that the governor of the state did not make the call of fraud in the voting in the state of Georgia in the past elections.
- The former president assured that for 2022, when the gubernatorial elections will be held, he would campaign against Kemp whom he also called a fool and a clown.
- For now, the governor of Georgia, who was one of the great characters of the last presidential election, having the count of one of the defining states, assured to support the Republican candidate no matter who it was.
- Donald Trump seems to be gradually emerging politically again, and every day the possibility of a possible participation in the next presidential election is increasing.
