Mississippi House of Representatives Votes to Restrict Transgender Individuals From Women’s Sports

  • By John Deloria
  • (General Dispatch) – The Mississippi House of Representatives voted Wednesday to restrict transgender people from women’s sports at colleges and universities.
  • Mississippi is another of 20 states pushing for laws to protect women, after President Joe Biden signed an executive order on Jan. 21 banning gender and identity discrimination in college sports.
  • The order will reach Republican Gov. Tate Reeves in the next few days, so it is expected to be signed into law very soon.
  • Republican Rep. Becky Currie also weighed in on the bill saying, “Girls deserve to compete on a level playing field, allowing males to compete in girls’ sports destroys fair competition and women’s athletic opportunities.”
  • “I’m not interested in getting into an argument with you on who’s boys and who’s girls and who thinks they’re what,” Currie said when asked about gender ideology.
  • On the other hand, the governor of the state had already pronounced himself some time ago via Twitter assuring that it was a shame that Biden would force women to compete in sports with biological men.
  • The state of Mississippi is not the only one promoting a women’s protection agenda, which is considered a progressive nonsense trying to promote gender equality while ignoring the nature of the other.
  • The news of the inclusion of transgender people in sports competitions against women continues to be a topic of debate in the United States and the world, for now each federal agency continues to take its precautions in this regard.
