- (General Dispatch) – Governor Greg Abbott described as regrettable the fact that the White House presided by Biden has not distributed the vaccines against covid-19 to the agents who operate on the border, and are even more susceptible to contagion.
- The physical integrity of the officers is at stake, said the president after receiving the information that the officers had not been prioritized by the health sector to receive the vaccine.
- The government must take a strong stance towards sectors that fulfill an elementary function in the development of the nation, this sector cannot be excluded, other less vulnerable sectors have been given more importance, said the governor.
- Therefore, the demands to the governor were made public, this time requesting that during the course of the week the civil servants be vaccinated.
- The exposure to contagion to which the officers are subjected on a daily basis in the performance of their duties with immigrants is notorious.
- The increase in the number of infections in the border region continues to rise, and this could mean a new wave of infections in other cities in the nation.
- It is evident that the immigrants who were released last week tested positive for the rapid test.
- With only two months left in the White House, the new administration is not exercising proper health checks on border patrol officers, nor the constant flow of immigrants into the country.
